Multilingual Translations

With more than 16 years' development, C&E Translation & Advertising Inc. now provides translation services in many languages around the world. Because of its unique geographic position as North America's gateway to Asia, its beautiful natural environment, its mild climate and many other benefits, Vancouver is one of the most popular cities for immigrants from other parts of the world. It is a perfect place to base our firm with easy access to abundant resources of immigrant translators and interpreters, who are native speakers of various languages, living and working in an English-speaking environment. Many of them have post-secondary or graduate-level education background in more than one country. We are therefore in a unique position to draw on the multilingual and multicultural characteristics of Vancouver and have translators versed in both source and target languages as well as related cultural issues. What is more, we screen and choose translators carefully. It is our policy to give priority to hiring Certified Translators, who have been certified by professional associations such as the Society of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia, other provincial associations under the Canadian Translators, Interpreters and Terminologists Council and the American Translators’ Association.

Technologically, we are empowered with state-of-the-art and industry-standard language technology products such as Trados and SDLX, which not only improve the efficiency of translation workflow but, more importantly, ensure the consistency of translation products. Our specialized fields in translation range from law, business, advertising/marketing, finance, science, technology to medicine. We take translation quality very seriously. We screen and choose translators carefully. Our translation process usually goes through several steps:

• Consultation with the author and
• Proofreading.
